At Deluzio & Company, we are keenly aware of the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19). We are taking steps to provide for the continuity of our client services and the safety of our employees and clients as we navigate through the uncertainty of the outbreak.
Are the Deluzio & Company offices open?
We are planning to close to the public effective Saturday, March 21, 2020 and will remain closed for the foreseeable future. You can schedule an appointment with us for a teleconference meeting.
Our team is prepared to operate from outside of our offices with the necessary equipment, as well as backup systems and technical support, that will allow our workforce to work remotely.
How can I get my taxes filed without having to come to your office?
You may submit your information to us via mail, fax or electronically through our secure portal. We can email, mail or provide a link to access final copies of your tax returns.
Do I still have to file my taxes by April 15?
The IRS announced today they will waive interest and penalty charges for Americans who owe up to $1 million in taxes on their 2019 federal income tax returns through July 15, 2020, including estimated tax payments due April 15th. Corporate filers would get the same length of time to pay amounts due on up to $10 million in taxes owed.
We suggest filing an extension or your tax returns by April 15th. Filing an extension will extend your filing deadline to October 15, 2020. There is no fee or penalty to do so. However, this does not extend the amount of time you have to pay your taxes beyond July 15th, 2020.
Sincerely,
Deluzio & Company, LLP
